A leaked ruling from the US Supreme Court has revealed that this archaic reactionary institution is preparing to overturn the “Roe vs Wade” case which allowed for the legalization of abortion in 1973 following powerful mass movements for change. This decision, which a large majority of people in the US oppose, if it goes ahead, would lead to the immediate banning of abortion for millions of Americans.
As the news was breaking, and outrage extended among women and working class people, Seattle city councilmember, Socialist Alternative’s Kshama Sawant was interviewed on Al Jazeera Live, in the clip below. Socialist Alternative is building for mass protests in response to this reactionary attack on women’s bodily autonomy throughout the country.
